Make Waves at your Library:Summer Reading 2010Book with waves

Be sure to stop by the library soon to check out all the cool summer reading activities that will happen this summer! Our theme this year is Make waves at your library! Just as we did last year, we will again have summer reading programs and activities for tweens, teens and adults in addition to our normal programs for pre-k through 3rd grade.

Ok, here’s how the “reading” part works:
For every day that you read at least 20 minutes, you will mark it off on a ticket. Once you have 5 days marked off on one ticket we will stamp that ticket. Stamped tickets get your name and phone number on them, and go in the drawing for the prize you are most interested in. Prizes are still being decided upon, look for updates soon!

Reading goals for preschool crowd are a bit more flexible, since their books are generally very short you may count one book as one day of reading. Total goals for the program are 25 days of reading over the summer, and the program runs from May 31 through July 30.
