I was cleaning out my email inbox today when I came across an interesting article from www.theconsumerist.com talking about libraries and what a great return on investment you can realize by utilizing them. Please check it out at:
http://consumerist.com/5027723/7-ways-your-public-library-can-help-you-during-a-bad-economy
Also, please check out the new links at the left for our databases! You can look up car repair information, antiques prices, test preparation books and more using only your internet connection and your library card number.
All of the staff here at Washington County Public Library wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving!
We will be closed Thursday and Friday for the holiday but please come visit us on Saturday.

Congratulations, you have found the website for the Washington County Public Library! This site is under renovation (again), so please pardon our mess. It will be finished as soon as possible.
In the meantime please come visit the library. We’ve made some changes that I think you will like. Our fiction is now organized by genre, so you mystery readers won’t have to sort through everything else now to find your mysteries!
We have recently received the Picturing America grant which gave us 40 works of American master artists focusing on moments of particular beauty, bravery, or historical significance. We currently have 6 of these masterworks on display, so come see them. The display will change each month throughout the year.
You can search our catalog, renew or request books online, leave a comment, or request a purchase!
