So, the library looks a mess at the moment, because we’re getting our new computers installed!

Here’s the recycling piles from unboxing everything, as well as a few shots of the chaos created in mid-installation. As you can see, things will be a bit tight, but we’ll just have to make the best of it!

They should be installed, set up, configured and working by Monday morning.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the new computer furniture has arrived!
We worked hard to get it put together and ready for you to use, as you can see in the photos below.
The six new computers are scheduled to be installed October 8th, and should be ready for use soon after that.
In the meantime we have to get some additional electrical circuits run to support the new computers, so please be patient with us as computer availability may be spotty over the next few weeks as the additional work is finished up.
Computers will not be available for public use on October 8th, as we will have them all down while we install, test and integrate the new with the old!

Washington County Public Library would like to announce the opening of our new expanded computer lab, including 6 additional computers and scheduled classes for those who need to learn how to use a computer, learn how to search for a job online, learn how to use email, and more!

Please come by the library in the next few months to see our rapidly growing computer area, but be prepared for some space limitations, as we will be crowded!

The first few sets of boxes have come in, with the 6 new desktop computers, and the new servers, but will have to remain in their boxes until the new furniture arrives!
