Thank you all for your patience with our computer issues over the last few months. When your server dies, and it has all of your data on it, and your backups are corrupt, you are in a world of hurt, which is where we have been, for a while now. The good news is that it is almost over!
We have contracted with SnellPro LLC out of South Carolina, to provide servers, backups, our Evergreen (library software) installation, support for all of the above, and hosting our library catalog. Right now, the server is up and running, with Evergreen on it. We’re working on getting our Patrons loaded back on, and the books will be next. There are already a few books on there, but the main bunch will be coming in the next week. It’s a lot of work, even for a computer, when you have 30,000 items to consider!
As soon as we are fully back up and online we will be sure to let you all know!
