Spring is Springing all around us, now’s the time to check out garden planning and how-to books, if you haven’t already! We have also put together a small display of Kentucky Destinations for those cost-cutting vacation destinations one one day or one tank of gas. Stay close to home and still have loads of fun. Summer Reading is fast approaching, and this year it’s for everyone, from 1 to 100! Programs begin June 1 and run through July 25 this year. There will be workshops and activities for the pre-k -3rd grade crowd as usual, but don’t forget to check out this year’s special events for Tweens (9-12years), Teens (13-19) and Adults.

In the meantime please join us for a wonderful performance of “Mary Owens: Lincoln’s First Mary” by Ms. Barbara Flair. It’s a free performance and will be at 7pm Tuesday evening,  April 21.

The Book Lovers discussion group meets on the third thursday of the month at 5:30 pm, come by and pick up your copy of the next book, “Plain Truth” by Jodi Picoult. Discussion for this title will be April 16th. The following title is T. C. Boyle’s “A Friend of the Earth” which will be discussed May 21.
