There will be a new book group focused on reading non-fiction titles, and our first title will be “Hot, Flat and Crowded: Why we need a green revolution and how it can renew America” by Thomas L. Friedman. There are currently 2 copies in circulation, one regular print and one large print. If you click on “search the catalog” and then look for this title you can place a reservation on it so that you can get it read before the end of January. The discussion group will meet for this title on Monday evening, January 26, at 6pm. Please call the library to sign up.
The Bookmobile Schedule has been updated and is posted through the first week of January 2009.
We are currently conducting a Hat, Mitten and Coat drive to help warm up the kids of Washington County. Please bring your new or gently used cold-weather items to the library and place them under our Christmas tree. Items will be distributed the week before Christmas at local Head Starts and through local charities. If you have a fine we will take off $5 for bringing in warm items for the Hat, Mitten and Coat drive.
