Announcing the circulation of sony E-Book readers, now at Washington County Public Library. This is a brand-new service for us, and we’re starting small, with one E-book reader right now, and 25 titles to choose from. Three more E-Book readers are coming soon, and of course more E-Book titles. The Ebook readers will check out like a regular book, as will the titles you are interested in. At this time you can request or reserve the Ebook reader and the titles using our online catalog, or you can send me an email at jwandrey at washingtonkylibrary.org, and I will put the requested titles on the reader and make sure it’s charged up. At this time you have to be 18, or have someone who is 18 or over in your family to be the responsible person to check out the reader. (It’s a $350 item, so you have to sign a waiver too, just like with any other expensive equipment)
We will be glad to show you how to use it when you check it out, or come in and ask for a demonstration! Current titles include: “The girl with the dragon tattoo” by Steig Larsson, “Handle with Care” by Jodi Picoult, “Breaking Dawn” by Stephanie Meyer, “The Apostle” by Brad Thor, and “Finger Lickin’ Fifteen” by Janet Evanovich, to name just a few.
