Welcome to the Washington County Public Library! We are glad to see you here and hope you find value in our services. Please come join us at the library for our many events, which you will find on our Events Calendar, or come in to the library to pick up a good book, magazine, audio book or DVD. While you are here check out our databases, which include Price It! Antiques, Chilton's Auto Repair, Kentucky Legal Forms, and the Education and Testing Center. Join our book club or sign up to take a free class.

What book got you hooked?

Please help Kentucky kids in need win 50,000 books! Visit First Book and share the book that got you hooked on reading, then vote for your state!

New: We now have Saturday Hours; every Saturday year round we will be open from 9 am to 1 pm!

Our catalog is online! Please check it out, you can even reserve books online! Call the library to set up your PIN number before you try to reserve books please; this is necessary in order for the reservation system to work. You will also need your library card; if you don't have one please come in to the library and ask for a replacement.

Also regularly happening at the library this summer:

Monday 5 to 7 pm: Family Game Night, come and work puzzles, play Chess, Mancala, Checkers, Go Fish, Rook or card games, It's a fun way to spend those long warm summer evenings.

Tuesdays, 4 pm to 5 pm: English Conversation Group. Bring yourself and some paper and be prepared to learn some new English words and to practice your conversation skills in English. Instructor speaks some Spanish and has taught this class for 2 years, so come prepared to stretch your English skills. All Ages, under twelve with parents. Wednesday 10 am: Computer Classes! Check the Happenings page to see which classes are offered on which dates.

Thursdays, 5 to 7 pm, Helping Hands Needlework Group.  Bring your project and join us for socialization and to share a skill or learn something new to you. Check the Happenings page for exact dates.

Everyday: Puzzles and games available to play in the library, including Mancala, Chess, Checkers, Rook, Playing Cards, Dominoes, and Go Fish! Games can be checked out in the library but must be used in the library. Other games are welcome; if you would like to bring your friends and your favorite board game please do so.
