Last year we saved you $702.808! This is how we did it. We are in the business of serving people. Your public library is open 41 hours 5 days a week we have a bookmobile that travels throughout the county. We have 3 public computers available with Internet access and many valuable software programs. We offer access to the Kentucky Virtual Library (KYVL) which accesses libraries and databases around the world. We acquire materials and make them available FREE! If patrons had to purchase the materials we provide free, let's analyze what they would have spent....
You borrowed 26,982 books. At an average of $30 per book you could have spent $809,460
We subscribed to 31 magazines. At an average or $30 per title you could have spent $930
We subscribed to 7 newspapers. At an average of $200 per title, you could have spent $1,400
